Happy holidays Carrot River!  Your big day about town is coming up; this Wednesday, it's Christmas on Main and if you haven't done your Christmas shopping, it's a great time to get started - or finish up, for those ahead of the hustle and bustle.

Adelle's Tea House will be open November 26th from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 pm.  Come on by, warm up with a spot o' tea and recharge your batteries for the next round of festivities.  Most of all, enjoy the spirit of the season.

Carrot River's Christmas on Main

It's not too early to talk about Christmas, is it?  Well, maybe!  I just hope I don't jinx the weather and bring snow this way.  If the changing seasons have got you down, what's better than putting your thoughts toward some Christmas cheer?  A cup of tea can help boost those spirits too.

Put the pot on and plan for a day out to celebrate the season.  Wednesday, November 26th is Carrot River's annual Christmas on Main celebration and Adelle's Tea House will be open.  Mark it on the calendar and stop on by while you're out and about.

Cuppa Cheers to Adelle's

I'm enjoying soothing Earl Grey tea this nippy Saturday morning, thinking of my lovely Aunt.  Today is a special day for her and I'm curious what has her busy.  The phone is there, yet with sleeping babe in my lap and tea in hand, I reflect quietly instead, devoting this post to her.

It's been around five years since my Aunt Audrey has provided Carrot River, Saskatchewan and area a taste of loose leaf teas.  I haven't visited the tea house as much as I'd have liked and I hope that I am destined to enjoy it's walls more often in the future. 

Thanksgiving is approaching and I'll get to speak with my Aunt then.  I am eager to share with her my enthusiasm for tea, find out when her Autumn Teas or Christmas Teas will be for 2014 and to listen to her adventures to the Doll Show in Edmonton from a couple of weeks ago. 

Dolls are one of my Aunt's charming hobbies, one I share with her fondly, though I tend to gravitate to '80's figurines and stuffed animals from t.v. programs.  :)  If we're lucky, my Aunt will share her treasured doll collection in a Special Tea at her tea house.  It has happened before.  Perhaps I may even host a tea someday to show off my own collection!  (No promises, ha ha.)

Anyway, on this 11th day in October, I sip tea and muse about a dear lady.  Tea is a wonderful drink to share while out with friends and family, but it's also great company for my thoughts.  Though it may not be a toasting drink, it still makes me feel like spreading good cheer.

To Aunty and to Adelle's Tea House and Treasures, may the future realize many dreams, fueled by a cuppa our favorite loose leaf teas.  Mmmmm...  indeed, one more thing for which to be thankful!

Opening Day 2014

Take a break this beautiful July day, dig into your piggy bank and head down to Adelle's Tea House and Treasures!  It's Opening Day for the season and you're in for a delight.  The tea house is open from 2-5pm and again from 7-9pm tonight.  If you're looking for something to do this evening, a visit and a spot o' tea could be just the thing!

There are many unique teas to choose from and fresh desserts.  If you've got the change, perhaps there's a trinket or treasure that will catch your eye and you'll just have to take it home with you.  Stop by for a visit, say hello and discover what Adelle's Tea House and Treasure's has available this season! 

July 31st, 2014 - You're Invited!

It's only a few more weeks and Adelle's Tea House & Treasure's will be open for the season.  On July 31st at 2 pm the doors open and you're invited for tea!  There are plenty of delicious beverages and scrumptious snacks to tempt your taste buds. 

If you can't make it in the afternoon, why not try back in the evening?  On Thursdays, the tea house is open from 2-5pm and again from 7-9pm.  See you there!

2014 Summer Hours

Adelle's Tea House and Treasure's doors will open Thursday, July 31st 2014, for 2pm tea time.  This begins the season for the tea house, lasting until Saturday, September 6th.  The 2014 seasonal hours are as follows:

July 31st - September 6, 2014

Thursday: 2-5pm and 7-9pm
Friday: 2-5pm
Saturday: 2-5pm

Hello Blog, Goodbye Website

Website from April 2011 to December 2013

Launching the blog and saying goodbye to the website.  After about two and a half years it's time to shut down the website and try a different way to connect to the tea enthusiasts.  Adelle's Tea House and Treasures can now be found online through this blog.
